Your Privacy is Important to Us

1. Introduction

Welcome to Racket Play ("us", "we", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy notice, or our practices with regards to your personal information, please contact us. This is a placeholder document and does not constitute legal advice. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Service, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, when you participate in activities on the Service or otherwise when you contact us.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Service, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • Personal Information Provided by You: We collect names; email addresses; passwords; contact preferences; gender (if provided for features like mixed doubles); and other similar information.
  • Payment Data (Simulated): All payment details are simulated. We do not collect or store real payment card details.
  • Usage Data & Cookies: We use essential cookies or similar browser storage mechanisms (like local storage) for core application functionality. This is further explained in Section 4. We do not use these for tracking purposes outside of our own application's functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our Service for a variety of business purposes described below.

  • To facilitate account creation and logon process (including session management via cookies/local storage).
  • To manage user accounts and preferences.
  • To send administrative information to you.
  • To enable user-to-user communications (e.g., club owners messaging members, partner selection for events - subject to user preferences).
  • To operate and maintain the service, such as remembering your shopping cart items or theme preferences using local storage.
  • For other business purposes, such as data analysis (on aggregated, anonymized data if any), identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our (fictional) promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, marketing and your experience.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Our Service utilizes essential cookies (small text files stored on your device) and local storage (a type of web storage) for necessary functionalities:

  • Authentication: Firebase Authentication, our identity provider, uses cookies or similar storage to manage your login sessions and keep you signed in. These are essential for the security and operation of your account.
  • Preferences & Cart: We use local storage to remember your theme preferences (e.g., light/dark mode) and to persist your shopping cart items if you navigate away or close your browser.
  • Cookie Consent: We use local storage to remember your cookie consent preferences so we don't show you the consent banner on every visit after you've accepted.

We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or third-party advertising. The use of these technologies is strictly for the functional operation of Racket Play. You can typically manage cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service. By using our site, you acknowledge and agree to our use of these essential cookies and local storage mechanisms as described.

5. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone? NO.

We state clearly: Racket Play will NOT share, sell, rent, or trade any of your personal information with third parties for their promotional purposes or for any other reason, except as described in this policy or with your explicit consent.

The only very limited circumstances where information might be disclosed are:

  • Compliance with Laws: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
  • Vital Interests and Legal Rights: We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

Racket Play is a demonstration application, and the primary purpose of any data collected is for the functioning of the app's features as described.

6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.

8. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Service.

9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time. If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can log in to your account settings and update your user account or contact us using the contact information provided.

10. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
